Shrimpee, is formulated for super-intensive systems; i.e., small nano tanks, that utilize zero or very low water exchange and bio-floc technologies. Higher levels of vitamins, balanced mineral packs, scientifically selected proteins and special additives help the shrimp perform better and stay strong and healthy in higher stock densities.
The function of the biofloc is to reduce the nitrogenous metabolic waste (ammonia, nitrite) produced by shrimp feeding and production. Ammonia consumed by heterotrophic bacteria becomes protein, which can then be consumed by shrimp and converted into growth.
