I keep 95% cichlids and all my fish attack the Acai pellets. The only thing I don't like is the small container size. I have to get used to using the small plastic portion scoop. I prefer to use my fingers to doll out food.
I bought a container of this food back in October, 2018 at the Aquatic Experience in NJ. Just opened it this week and tried it out on my Neolamprologus multifasciatus. They really didn't go after it, but I fed it to them about 30 minutes before the lights go out. I brought it to work to my 65 gallon Tanganyikan tank containing adult N. leleupi, J. marksmithi, and adult breeding Synodontis lucipinnis ( one newly discovered 3/4" juvie found last Friday). I feed these fish just before feeding time and with only about 8-12 pellets at a time. The cichlids attacked it and swallowed it. The cats smelled it, but couldn't get any because it was all eaten before it hit the bottom. I was glad they took it so readily, since I've had difficulty getting them to switch foods in the past. I can't give any comments on color change in the fish because its been only a week. I still feed them NLS cichlid pellets and Probiotix. So I really don't know how to give a star rating. Can I come back and change it? I'll give it a 3 since my picky fish at work ate it right away. I'll be looking for color changes.
