African Cichlid Food

Food for Lake Malawi and Lake Tanganyika cichlids, including Mbuna, Peacocks, Haps and shell dwellers. You'll find sinking pellets and flakes from NorthFin, New Life Spectrum, Hikari and Dr. Bassleer, in sizes from 1mm for juveniles up to larger pellets for adults.

Mbuna and other rock-grazing species do best on a veggie-based staple such as a kelp or spirulina formula, fed in small amounts. Peacocks and Haps can take a richer, higher-protein pellet. Mixed tanks often do well on a balanced daily pellet with a veggie flake on the side. See all cichlid food for treats and larger sizes.
